The Warmth Within
A complete bathroom renovation, from the inside out.
Rich wood tones, soft green tile effect walls and warm lighting bring a sense of calm to this bathroom. Behind the finish lies a complete transformation — from reducing the window opening and preparing the room to plastering, painting and installing the final fittings.

THE BRIEF
Create a warmer, more considered bathroom with a layout that made better use of the space and allowed for a freestanding bath.
THE WORK INVOLVED
A full renovation including strip-out, window alteration, plumbing, joinery, plastering, decorating, installation and final finishing.
BEHIND THE TRANSFORMATION
More than a bathroom refit.
This project involved much more than changing the fittings and finishes. The room had to be stripped back, access improved, the original Jack and Jill layout altered, and the space prepared properly before the new bathroom could begin to take shape.
PREPARING THE SPACE
Rebuilt properly before the finishes went in.
Before the new bathroom could take shape, the room needed substantial preparation. The space was fully insulated and reframed, the steep access steps were reworked, the main entrance widened and the second doorway closed off. Plumbing, electrics and the surrounding structure were then coordinated and prepared for the final finishes — creating the right foundation for everything that followed.
CHANGING THE WINDOW
A smaller opening. A better-balanced room.
The original wide window dominated the wall and limited how the bathroom could be laid out. Reducing the opening created better proportions within the room and gave us more freedom to position the new fittings. The new window was then carefully incorporated into the finished design, with the surrounding wall panels and radiator brought together as part of the overall scheme.

TAKING SHAPE
Preparing the room for the final finish.
Once the main construction work was complete, the room moved into the finishing stages. The ceiling and altered areas were plastered and prepared, while the new wall finishes, flooring and fittings were protected as the work progressed. This stage brought the different elements together and created the clean foundation needed for the final decoration and installation.

A complete renovation relies on different skills working together at the right time. For this project, we coordinated the trades throughout the work so each stage could move smoothly into the next.

THE RESULT
A warmer, better-balanced bathroom.
The finished room feels completely different from the space we started with. Improved access, a more considered layout, warmer finishes and the freestanding bath all work together to create a bathroom that feels calmer, more practical and properly complete.
